posIPOS version 1.8 adds support for the iZettle credit card payment service and new Star Micronics receipt printers

The newest version (1.8) of the posIPOS point of sale app for iPad is now available for free in the Apple App Store, and it adds a complete integration with the iZettle credit card payment service and mobile card readers, support for several new Star Micronics mobile (Bluetooth) receipt printers, wireless (WiFi) and Ethernet (LAN) high-speed printers, and the mPOP multifunction system which includes a receipt printer, cash drawer, barcode scanner, and iPad stand, as well as many user interface enhancements and new features, like the bigger screens for the most used functions, enhanced item search, dynamic colors for items and categories on the order screen, additional item and customer information on relevant screens, the capability to order the items by name or price, enhanced table management functions to update occupied tables across multiple iPads, and more.


In addition to the Epson and Star Micronics receipt printers already supported by the previous versions, the new posIPOS app version 1.8 adds support for the Star Micronics SM-L200, SM-S230i, SM-S220i, SM-T300, SM-T300i, SM-T400i portable Bluetooth printers, the Star Micronics mPOP multifunction system that includes a 2-inch compact Bluetooth printer, cash drawer, barcode scanner, and iPad stand, and the Star Micronics TSP100 LAN and WiFi high-speed receipt printers. More, the posIPOS app will automatically detect the wireless, Ethernet or Bluetooth printers available on your network or connected to your iPad, and will automatically adjust the receipt width to 2-inch, 3-inch or 4-inch, depending on the selected printer.


Also, on top of the Authorize.Net and BNG payment gateways available for customers in US, the newly-released posIPOS 1.8 is fully integrated with the iZettle credit card payment service and mobile card readers, so you can accept credit card payments and process refunds directly from the posIPOS point of sale app for iPad.  iZettle offers very low credit card processing transaction fees, starting at 2.75% and dropping to as little as 1.50% per transaction, based on your monthly sales, and is available for users in United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, Mexico and Brazil. Both iZettle mobile credit card readers are supported: the Lite card reader is free for all business users, while the Pro Contactless card reader, which also accept contactless payments and Apple Pay, costs around $75, depending on your country.
